Drop Spindle Class

- Learn how to spin on a drop spindle. Bring your own drop spindle, or borrow one of ours
- Class length is 2 hours

- We provide fiber for the class, but feel free to bring your own
- Classes may be virtual or on site
- We schedule individuals or groups; special group rates apply
- 2026 Dates for Drop Spindle Classes:
- Short Class Available April 23, 24, & 25 at 11:00 am to 11:30 (During Woolly Weekend)
- Saturday May 2, 2026, at 9 am or 1 pm
- Friday June 19, 2026, at 10:00 am
- Friday August 14, 2026, at 10:00 am
- Short Class Available Saturday August 22, 2026, at 11:00-11:30 or 2:00-2:30
- OR join us for Fiber Fest Weekend (available 3 times per year) and learn to drop spindle on day 2 of the three-day class
- Cost: $29; materials included no additional fee for spindle use
- This class may be scheduled for learning to spindle using a bottom whorl, top whorl or Navajo spindle
- Shepherd's Cross sells drop spindles & fiber arts supplies
- Our classes go a step farther than regular classes - we teach some history of fiber arts, and practical technology.
- All class fees are non-refundable. Class fees can be applied to a different course.
