Shepherd’s Cross has been raising and shearing sheep since the early 1990’s 

Class Participants learn:

  • How to shear a sheep effectively, safely and following Animal Welfare Approved guidelines
  • Proper handling and maintenance of shearing equipment
  • Low Stress sheep handling techniques
  • Skirting a fleece
  • Basic wool processing
  • Each student will have the opportunity to shear sheep, with personal guidance and instruction.

CLASS I: APRIL 8, 9, & 10 - Thursday, Friday & Saturday

CLASS II: APRIL 12, 13, 14 - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday


If you are interested in taking the class and both classes are full, you may sign up to be put on our waiting list.

Class fees are non-refundable. The fees may be applied to a future course.
